Disney+ Reorganizes its Marvel Screen, Calls Non-MCU Films 'Marvel Legacy Movies'

Avengers...Reassemble!

Almost a year after its launch Disney+ seems to have finally solved the messy interface with regard to its Marvel movies.

The site's superhero movies were previously listed in scattershot fashion but it now looks like a reorganization was done and that non-MCU titles (like X-Men and Fantastic Four) are considered "Marvel Legacy Movies."

The screenshot here (h/t to The Verge) shows you how things are laid out right now on a Disney+ U.S. account...

Not only are the MCU flicks listed by Phase now, but also chronologically (in the MCU timeline).

There are also rows for Marvel Legacy Movies and Marvel Legacy Animated Shows. Fans are, understandably, pleased with the MCU reorg.

User interface is something we took into consideration when reviewing all the streaming services a while back. You can check out our "State of Streaming" reviews for Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney+, and Apple TV+ here.

Speaking of Marvel and streaming, Marvel TV and Hulu gave fans their first look at the upcoming streaming series M.O.D.O.K. -- Marvel's first venture into adult-oriented animated comedy -- at New York Comic Con. The series features the voices of Patton Oswalt, Lucifer's Aimee Garcia, Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Melissa Fumero, and Parks and Rec's Ben Schwartz.
